International shipping

For all international shipments

In order to ship internationally, orders and shipments require more data to successfully pass the customs checks.

Depending on the origin and destination country, the following fields are necessary:

• eori_number
• vat
• Specify exactly what is in the shipment by submitting order_lines per shipment
• An order_line requires a hs_code per item (see https://www.tariffnumber.com/ for more information)
• An order_line does not require an ean_code in our API, but some carriers require a ean_code to be submitted.

The Orders API response returns which fields are required for your shipments.

US and CA specific

When shipping shipments from and to the United States and Canada, every address requires a state_code. Without this code a shipment cannot be processed.
